Where do you tutor?
In your home, at my study room in Exeter or at a neutral venue such as a coffee shop.

Please note, in busy periods, I may not be able to travel far outside Exeter.

Can I meet you beforehand to see if you're the right tutor for me?
Yes. I provide a free personal consultation for all prospective tutees at your home or another venue.
Which areas do you cover?
Exeter and an approximate 25 mile radius around it. If you fall outside that range please do contact me as I may still be able to provide my services to you.

I want to simply improve my/ my child's ability in a subject area. Can you do this?
Yes.

You/your child does not have to be directly working towards a qualification; I can help improve confidence and knowledge within your chosen subject area.

Do you tutor in other subjects?
I have experience in many different subjects areas so please contact me with the specifics and I’ll create a package tailored to your/ your child’s needs.

If I can’t I’ll endeavour to pass you onto someone who can.

Will I/my child be set homework?
In normal circumstances I will set work closely linked to the exam/method of assessment.

That said, what or whether any homework is set depends entirely on your/your child’s needs.

Yes.

The details can be discussed during your free consultation.

Do you tutor for home educated children?
Yes.

I can also tutor small groups in a diverse range of locations, whatever best fits your needs.

Do you offer any other services?
I have successfully trained students via mock interviews for Oxbridge entrance.

One former student commented to a colleague that the Oxford interview was a breeze since the one I had conducted was three times harder.

I am also an experienced debater, I am a former finalist in the Welsh Mace, so can provide debating coaching too.

I also have extensive experience assisting with personal statement writing for university entry.

How long does a session typically last?
Typically sessions last 1hr 30mins – 2 hrs.

I find that proportionally more can be covered in 90mins rather than in 1hr.

However, length of the sessions are negotiable to fulfil your individual needs.

How much do you charge?
My rates are dependent on what tailored package you require but are always very competitive.

This will be discussed during your free personal consultation.
